WishQi: A Century of Scent & Heritage Incense

Guided by the "Ding Fire," Crafted for the Soul.

The Spark of Destiny

The journey of our family began in the late 19th century under the guidance of Mr. Qian Bu, an imperial physician. For five generations, we have held a sacred bond with the art of artisanal incense—a craftsmanship that transcends mere business.

In the quiet of our workshop, we speak of "Ding Fire" (丁火). It is the smallest flame in Eastern metaphysics, yet it possesses the most resilient energy. This "invisible flame" has been our family’s spiritual compass.

The Alchemy of Paozhi

In an era of instant gratification, we remain stubbornly slow. Every stick of WishQi incense undergoes the rigorous "Paozhi" (炮制) process—an ancient alchemical purification method.

To us, Sandalwood is not ready until it is bathed in tea water to shed its innate "fire-dryness." This ensures that true incense reaches a peak of mellow, soul-soothing fragrance.

Restoring the "Xiang Shi"

Beyond the scent itself lies the lost art of "Xiang Shi" (香事)—the meditative practice of the Eastern literati. We believe that incense is more than a fragrance; it is a medium for emotional healing.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and modern living, providing a sanctuary of peace to help you find your center amidst the noise.
